Around Alleppey

We spent a day & night at a lovely working coconut farm on an island owned by the Kutty family for generations.

We had a cooking demonstration from the owners – including dhal fry & a fish curry. From a canoe we watched the sun set behind the Chinese fishing nets.

We then spent our last few days on Marari Beach – enjoying more cooking demonstrations,

an eco & village tour & swimming in the sea.

Subashri (who used to work with Mum) & her husband Kumar came all the way from Mumbai to spend some time with us – it was really fun to spend some time with them.

It has been a really good 3 weeks holiday in India & I would like to come back & see Mumbai & North India another time. Dad is a bit disappointed that he didn’t get to ride on top of a train – but he has lots of new recipes to keep him busy.

Back to school now 😒
