Lots of birds, but no turkeys!

Happy Christmas everyone.

Today we enjoyed nature & strolled around Kamarajar Lake bird & animal spotting:

& relaxed by the pool until the sun set behind the Western Ghats, before enjoying a special chicken curry – delicious – with absolutely no Brussels sprouts in sight!

Our host was Dr Chris Lucas, a retired British physician, who worked for an American pharmaceutical Company in Belgium, before deciding to live in rural India. Mum likes the idea of retiring here too. We met an interesting family including Mansimran “Mini” Singh – a famous Andretta potter whose father went to learn pottery in Japan in 1916 – but had to first learn Japanese to join the class.

That’s all for now.

Looks like a great Christmas lunch! We had sandwiches again on our annual ski trip. Anais did her first black run! Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Sad about the Brussels sprouts – I expect you would have preferred them to the peas I see on the plate!
