Happy Chinese New Year of the Monkey

At school we started to celebrate New Year, with an introduction/history of Chinese opera – we learnt about the different characters, the costumes and makeup, we had firecrackers & we wore red to school on Friday (for charity)

I sold 300 red roses to raise money for a school trip to Tanzania, which I am hoping to be selected to join next year.

I received an “interesting” award for science – myself & 3 classmates won a competition, in which we had to look at pictures & guess 80 words. I think this may have been in the science lab before the art department got hold of it! ……

On Friday, Mum took me out for dinner to celebrate getting all As in my school report. We went to Black Pepper, which is a Turkish restaurant, for warm hummus & lamb – yum!

Dad was back from a week in the UK in time to unpack his suitcase (which included crumpets, cereal, marsbar milk and muller fruit corners!) – for Saturday night at the movies, which this week was “midnight diner” a Japanese film which I am rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & we left this morning for holiday in Singapore, Bali & Borobudur.

Did you eat all the crumpets and muller fruit corners before you set off on your holiday?
    Have a great time.
