The last 2 weeks of term were very busy doing homework such as this project – “China in a box”:
The hard work was worthwhile as it earned me a Principal’s Commendation, three merits, an A* and it is on display in the reception area! It is all about population density and why people migrate to the east of China.
Apart from homework, we went to see “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, a stage performance which was put on by my school. It was very good: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was also about 2000000 times better than the “professional” production of “The Wizard of Oz” we saw the following Saturday. It was pants. Firstly, we went to the published address, but it wasn’t showing there, it was showing somewhere 15 mins drive away! We got there just in time, except, they weren’t ready, so the start time was delayed by >1 hour. Then Dorothy didn’t have red sparkly shoes. They were silver. Also, there was a fixed microphone at the front of the stage and children, old ladies on the phone and people eating in the front row could be heard over the actors. The set was also very …….. er, amateur:
But there was one good bit. Because it started late, this meant that we went for a walk around the block. And saw this:
Mr Billy has made shoes for Jackie Chan and Shaquille O’Neal. Oh, and also Mum has ordered some custom made blue leather boots – she is very, very excited!
Then last week it was ……..
🎂🎈🎁🎉🎊 Happy 12th Birthday to me!
Dad did a pretty good job of decorating the kitchen without Mum & we did a FaceTime with Mum (who was in the US) when I opened my presents!
After school, I went with some friends to a climbing wall, which was brilliant fun ….
And then we went to pizza express for dinner.
Some exciting things about being 12 years old:
– Virgin Flying Club account
– Accounts for many other websites
– Use of swimming pool unaccompanied
– Hotel Executive lounge access (without dirty looks from staff)
– Can go to Frank’s restaurant (without telling white lies about age)
– Can watch 12 rated movies without worrying Mum (too much)
This week I am on Easter holidays and we are going away for a few days later this week!
