Ant and Dec Vs Arush and Thomas

This week I was very busy practising for the BISS has got talent show. All went well on the night (Thursday), despite some last minute changes to the running order with people dropping out due to illness, last minute nerves etc etc. We also sold all the BISCAKES biscuits and cakes we had made – to raise money for Tanzania (orphans, schools, goats).

This is myself & Arush announcing the winners:

At school I also received a Principles Commendation for getting all As last term. I received a certificate, hand shake from Mr Foyle (headmaster) and had my photo taken. There were 3 of us from my year who got certificates.
We have started studying Shakespeare and we have been talking about quotes. Mum’s favourite quote is from Macbeth – “The Lady doth protest too much”.
Dad couldn’t decide between two quotes both from Romeo and Juliet – “Death lies on her like an untimely frost upon the sweetest flower of all the field” or “Oh happy dagger this is thy sheath …. there rust and let me die”

Please send me your favourite Shakespeare quotes – thanks.

We had a well-planned “by doodle” weekend:

After a long bike ride, which included a stop at a bike shop to buy Mum and Dad bicycle helmets like mine, Saturday night at the movies was a 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet. It was OK, but a more modern version might have been a more enjoyable choice! Rating 3 out of 5.

Dad has been doing very well at sticking to his diet (which includes hummus and lots of green juice) and exercise program (helped by Mum being out at working dinners most nights last week) and Mum’s medicines are doing their job – no need for anyone to worry.

We had lunch today at a really good Japanese restaurant today with another family (including Dad’s Dr) and then went for a walk – but it is very cold in Shanghai at the moment. Brrrrrrrr.

We have received our first Chinese New Year present – from our neighbours at the fruit shop. Can anyone guess what this is?

I had loads of maths, art, history and English homework this weekend 😿

That’s all for this week.

Your present looks like pastry wrapped marzipan sticks. Yum, save me one!
My vote goes to Thomas and Arush although I do like Ant and Dec.

“Can one desire too much of a good thing” As you like it.
“For you and I are past our dancing days” R and J
    “what’s done is done” Macbeth

Just had a thought. Maybe it’s something made out of lychees?

I will vote for Arush and Thomas every time – smarter and much better looking than Ant and Dec!

Can’t think what the present is but it looks disgusting. Maybe it’s crystallised sugar cane or perhaps rather anaemic rhubarb – don’t know hope you will tell us?
