On Friday night we went to a brilliant thanksgiving party and stayed up until Saturday morning, because there were so many courses! – before walking home. Dad couldn’t walk in a straight line & fell off the curb – he says it was windy, but I think he was ‘tipsy’.
On Saturday we had a lie in, researched horse whispering, watched Mr Ed & then went to try Brett’s recommended xialongbao restaurant (which was also featured in Time Out Shanghai’s top 10) which were delicious – Mum really liked the view of pants above my head!

Saturday night at the movies was “the hundred foot journey” which I rate 4.5 stars – it is about an Indian family who ran a restaurant & moved from Mumbai to Heathrow but couldn’t find any vegetables with ‘soul’, so they then moved to France & found the right vegetables & the son – a chef – got a French restaurant its second Michelin star.
Sunday started with homework, which was followed by chocolate treats at Whisk (featured in Time Out Shanghai’s top 10 places for Ho Cho – thanks Jenny for teaching us the Australian for “hot chocolate”!) & then a long walk to use up some calories.
We wonder, can you have too much chocolate?
As we are discussing animals, our “lane” rabbits have had more babies, so there are now 3 big rabbits, 2 small rabbits & a handful of teeny rabbits.
For dinner, we just had a Sunday roast – the roast potatoes & Yorkies were YUM.
Mum is off to Mumbai tomorrow & I will be practicing for my Xmas concert.
PS happy birthday to Timothy Eames
