F1

Sorry that I didn’t post a blog last week, but I was very busy recovering from the residential. It really wore me out.

Haven’t done much since getting back but I did go to a birthday party at Kartworld, which a a go-karting place near the formula 1 track (Shanghai International Circuit). We went on the same day as the Formula 1 Grand Prix which was a bit of a nightmare because of all the traffic and police shutting the roads but it was brilliant fun when we eventually got there. Here are some pictures:

Apart from that it’s just been life (in a lane) as usual. Except that Mum is away in America for two weeks and I had to organise Dad’s birthday cake on my own (with a bit of help from Dad). Today was Dad’s birthday and we celebrated by eating quite a lot, chocolate covered strawberries delivered to the door for breakfast and then lunch at our favourite restaurant. Dad says that now he is going on a one year diet and fitness campaign and aims to be 76 kg by his next birthday. We will see! Maybe I will post a progress report on my blog. Ha ha. I think he is 88 at the moment.

Yes, happy birthday to your Dad. I didn’t realise Elaine was still in USA – that’s very sad. You will have to have another birthday celebration when she gets back. More choc strawberries!

Love the star shaped birthday cake (your Dad certainly is a STAR – that’s what his mother thinks anyway).
What a shame that your Mum wasn’t there to join in the fun.
